Digi Pack analysis #2

ok so for my final digi pack analysis i decided to do an album called panic prevention by a guy called Jamie T. this album was released in 2007 and the genre that Jamie T would fall under is post punk, UK garage and ska. I chose this album as its the type of music to which my age is the demograph, also i like him as an artist. heres the front cover:

this is a fantastic album cover considering the market and demograph, as it would be very easy to relate to, the messy bedroom, the love of different bands (for example, generation) and also if you look closley you can see a poster for the film 'Platoon', which was very popular in the late 80's/early 90's, and the audience of that generation could relate.
I would argue that Jamie T was trying used the title 'panic prevention' coupled with the boy in his room, creates a sence of the boy being lost in a see of teenage confusion and angst. Jamie T has done this by making it very messy and confusing, but at the same time its stuff that all teenages would be able to relate to (drum kits, computers, albums, alcahol and ciggarettes)
thats the point i feel that Jamie T was trying to get across with this album cover, but the back cover is alot harder to make sence of in my opinion:

i suppose you could argue and say its like a bricolage of generations, that the youth of today are less organised and less enthusiastic about life, where as back in the 40's it was all about pride and recognition of success. this would be represented here by the medals.
also, theses are all british medals, and Jamie T is also british so this could be him honouring his heritage. all in all this isnt a stereotypical 'british garage' album cover. I used the theme of bricolage in my album cover, the use of the rough around the edges eagle, and the regal writing.
il write more soon, x x x
